Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Qi Gong was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 11,217.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Qi Gong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script in May 2021 with an auction result of HKD 5,375,000.00 (€ 568,179.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script von Qi Gong kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 11.217,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Qi Gong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eight Characters Calligraphic Couplet In Standard Script im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.375.000,00 (€ 568.179,02).
