Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2012 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Melompat Lebih Tinggi (Jumping Higher) by Putu Sutawijaya. The price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,421.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 140,000.00 – 220,000.00. Admittedly, works by Putu Sutawijaya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candi Brahu in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 77,088.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2012 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Melompat Lebih Tinggi (Jumping Higher) von Putu Sutawijaya zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 17.421,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 140.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Putu Sutawijaya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candi Brahu im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 77.088,32).
