Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bercinta (Making Love) by Putu Sutawijaya was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. The price achieved of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,016.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 140,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Putu Sutawijaya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Candi Brahu in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 77,088.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bercinta (Making Love) von Putu Sutawijaya wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.016,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 140.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Putu Sutawijaya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Candi Brahu im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 77.088,32).
