This artwork by Prospero Fontana achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2007. In the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction, the work The Feast of the Gods: Design for a ceiling compartment sold for GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,726.53) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Prospero Fontana; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Holy Family With Saints John The Baptist And Catherine sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 96,829.02).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Prospero Fontana erzielte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis.
