Artwork auctioned at seven times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled (Rani) by Prosanto Roy was worth USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,358.51) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,800.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Prosanto Roy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Princess of Fairyland) sold at auction in September 2020 with the realized price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,334.70).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Rani) von Prosanto Roy war einem Käufer im März letzten Jahres USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.358,51) wert.
