Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pompeo Mariani achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in June this year. In the 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures auction, the work Marina sold for EUR 14,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pompeo Mariani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Elegant Ladies, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 59,375.00 (€ 43,292.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pompeo Mariani erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures wurde die Arbeit Marina für EUR 14.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pompeo Mariani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Elegant Ladies beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 59.375,00 (€ 43.292,02) versteigert wurde.
