The work Mare in burrasca, Bordighera by Pompeo Mariani was sold in the 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures auction at Il Ponte in December this year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pompeo Mariani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Elegant Ladies in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 59,375.00 (€ 43,292.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mare in burrasca, Bordighera von Pompeo Mariani wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th and 20th Century Paintings and Sculptures bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pompeo Mariani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Elegant Ladies im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 59.375,00 (€ 43.292,02).
