Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section, which included the work A Token of Love by Pio Ricci. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,681.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pio Ricci - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Lovers'S Spat, which sold at auction in June 2008 for USD 46,875.00 (€ 29,765.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Russian Pictures and a Symbolist Collection with a Richard Wagner section durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Token of Love von Pio Ricci zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.681,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pio Ricci mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Lovers'S Spat beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für USD 46.875,00 (€ 29.765,68) versteigert wurde.
