Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Sheet Of Various Pen And Ink Sketches Including A Winged Putto, Two Caricatural Head Studies, A Branch Of A Tree And Three Nude Figure Studies by Pietro Testa was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2016. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,158.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Testa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,994,500.00 (€ 2,289,548.13).

Die Arbeit A Sheet Of Various Pen And Ink Sketches Including A Winged Putto, Two Caricatural Head Studies, A Branch Of A Tree And Three Nude Figure Studies von Pietro Testa kam im Juli 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.158,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Testa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Aeneas On The Bank Of The River Styx im Februar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.994.500,00 (€ 2.289.548,13).
