Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Tarantella At Palazzo Donn'Anna With Vesuvius In The Background by Pietro Fabris was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 21,264.96) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Fabris achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Carnival In Naples In 1778, With The 'Cavalcata Turca' Parading Through The Largo Di Palazzo in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 782,500.00 (€ 941,226.14).
