In November 2005 Christies in Rome held the auction ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO, which included the work Il mercato dei fiori by Pietro de Francisco. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,580.00 59% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pietro de Francisco; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Burano, Venice sold at auction in April 2007 with the realized price of GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,325.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 59 % übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Rom die Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO durch, in der auch die Arbeit Il mercato dei fiori von Pietro de Francisco zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.580,00 und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pietro de Francisco; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Burano, Venice im April 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.320,00 (€ 6.325,04).
