This artwork by Pieter Snayers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2008. In the Old Master Paintings auction, the work Landscape With Soldiers Pillaging A Village sold for GBP 17,300.00 (€ 22,627.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Snayers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Siege of Diksmuide; and The Siege of Armentières with a rainbow in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 208,738.29).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter Snayers erzielte im Februar 2008 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape With Soldiers Pillaging A Village für GBP 17.300,00 (€ 22.627,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Snayers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Siege of Diksmuide; and The Siege of Armentières with a rainbow im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 208.738,29).
