Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day, which included the work A cavalry battle by Pieter Snayers. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Snayers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Siege of Diksmuide; and The Siege of Armentières with a rainbow in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 208,738.29).

Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cavalry battle von Pieter Snayers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 18.035,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Snayers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Siege of Diksmuide; and The Siege of Armentières with a rainbow im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 208.738,29).
