Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work The Interior Of A Gothic Church At Night by Pieter Neefs the Elder. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,921.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Neefs the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 87,282.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Interior Of A Gothic Church At Night von Pieter Neefs the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.921,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Neefs the Elder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für EUR 87.282,00 versteigert wurde.
