This artwork by Pieter Neefs the Elder achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2019. In the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work The interior of Antwerp Cathedral with elegant figures sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 47,275.32) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pieter Neefs the Elder; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers sold at auction in December 2009 with the realized price of EUR 87,282.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter Neefs the Elder erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit The interior of Antwerp Cathedral with elegant figures für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 47.275,32) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00.
