Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Drawings, which included the work Interior of a Gothic cathedral by Pieter Neefs the Elder. The price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,271.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Neefs the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers in December 2009 with an auction result of EUR 87,282.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior of a Gothic cathedral von Pieter Neefs the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.271,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Neefs the Elder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 87.282,00.
