In December 2009 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work The Interior Of A Cathedral With An Elegant Company Being Greeted By Another Gentleman by Pieter Neefs the Elder. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 33,150.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Neefs the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 87,282.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Dezember 2009 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Interior Of A Cathedral With An Elegant Company Being Greeted By Another Gentleman von Pieter Neefs the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 33.150,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Neefs the Elder mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für EUR 87.282,00 versteigert wurde.
