The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,035.81), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Neefs the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of an elegantly dressed couple and a page in a picture gallery in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 432,500.00 (€ 371,308.38).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Neefs the Younger erzielen.
