However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Neefs the Younger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of an elegantly dressed couple and a page in a picture gallery, which sold at auction in October 2017 for USD 432,500.00 (€ 371,308.38).

Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 18.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 131.250,00 (€ 147.702,65) mehr als siebenmal so hoch.
