Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cathedral interior with figures worshipping, promenading and giving alms by Pieter Neefs the Younger was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,537.58) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Neefs the Younger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of an elegantly dressed couple and a page in a picture gallery in October 2017 with an auction result of USD 432,500.00 (€ 371,308.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cathedral interior with figures worshipping, promenading and giving alms von Pieter Neefs the Younger kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.537,58) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Neefs the Younger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of an elegantly dressed couple and a page in a picture gallery im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 432.500,00 (€ 371.308,38).
