In January 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings Part II, which included the work Interior of a Gothic church by day; and Interior of a Gothic church by night by Pieter Neefs the Elder. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 30,644.30) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Neefs the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 87,282.00.

Im Januar 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior of a Gothic church by day; and Interior of a Gothic church by night von Pieter Neefs the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 30.644,30) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00.
