In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Pictures, which included the work A Church Interior With Elegant Company In The Nave And Aisle by Pieter Neefs the Elder. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 24,500.00 (€ 33,291.34), 23% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Neefs the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vue De L'Intérieur De La Cathédrale Notre-Dame D'Anvers, which sold at auction in December 2009 for EUR 87,282.00.
