In June 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, which included the work Landscape With The Rape Of Europa by Pieter Mulier the Younger. The auction ended at the price of USD 60,000.00 (€ 44,378.70), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Landscape With The Rape Of Europa is the most expensive artwork by Pieter Mulier the Younger that we have observed at auctions so far.
