Auction result misses estimated price range

In the Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale auction, the work A Moonlit Scene With A Shepherd And Shepherdess Resting With Their Herd Beside A Lake changed hands for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,976.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Mulier the Younger - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape With The Rape Of Europa, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 60,000.00 (€ 44,378.70).
