In June 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work Fishing vessels in stormy seas by Pieter Mulier the Elder. The auction ended at the price of EUR 5,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Mulier the Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Italianate landscape with a herdsman watering his livestock in April 2006 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,102.66).

Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing vessels in stormy seas von Pieter Mulier the Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 5.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Mulier the Elder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with a herdsman watering his livestock im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.102,66).
