The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,250.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Mulier the Elder - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Italianate landscape with a herdsman watering his livestock, which sold at auction in April 2006 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,102.66).
