This work of art by Peeter Gijsels could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture auction, the work Vertumnus And Pomona In The Garden Of A Villa changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 27,342.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peeter Gijsels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A town with figures working in bleaching fields in the foreground in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 216,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peeter Gijsels konnte im Januar 2011 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
