Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Village By A River With A Sailing Boat; A Village By A River With Fishermen by Peeter Gijsels was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 51,496.15). Admittedly, works by Peeter Gijsels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A town with figures working in bleaching fields in the foreground in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 216,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Village By A River With A Sailing Boat; A Village By A River With Fishermen von Peeter Gijsels im April 2015 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
