This artwork by Peeter Gijsels achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2018. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Hunting Still Life With Dead Hare And Birds, And A Dog Keeping Watch sold for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,281.77) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peeter Gijsels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A town with figures working in bleaching fields in the foreground in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 216,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peeter Gijsels erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Hunting Still Life With Dead Hare And Birds, And A Dog Keeping Watch für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.281,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peeter Gijsels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A town with figures working in bleaching fields in the foreground im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 216.000,00.
