In the Important Old Master Paintings auction, the work A village scene with peasants strolling by a river bank sold for USD 33,460.00 (€ 28,437.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peeter Gijsels have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A town with figures working in bleaching fields in the foreground in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 216,000.00.

In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings wurde die Arbeit A village scene with peasants strolling by a river bank für USD 33.460,00 (€ 28.437,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peeter Gijsels auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A town with figures working in bleaching fields in the foreground im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 216.000,00.
