Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A shepherdess and cattle resting by a wooded pond by Pieter Gerardus van Os. The price achieved of NLG 14,042.40 (€ 6,172.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 12,000.00 – 16,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Gerardus van Os have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A wooded winter landscape with deers in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 29,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A shepherdess and cattle resting by a wooded pond von Pieter Gerardus van Os zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 14.042,40 (€ 6.172,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Gerardus van Os auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A wooded winter landscape with deers im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.800,00.
