Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A young peasant couple and their animals resting by a pond by Pieter Gerardus van Os was sold in the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV auction at Christies in New York in May 2015. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Gerardus van Os achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded winter landscape with deers in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 29,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A young peasant couple and their animals resting by a pond von Pieter Gerardus van Os wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Gerardus van Os erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded winter landscape with deers im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.800,00.
