Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Cattle In A Meadow by Pieter Gerardus van Os. The price achieved of EUR 1,440.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Gerardus van Os achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded winter landscape with deers in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 29,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle In A Meadow von Pieter Gerardus van Os zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.440,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Gerardus van Os erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded winter landscape with deers im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.800,00.
