Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Interior With Mother And Daughter Infront Of A Hearth by Pieter Geraard Sjamaar. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 3,290.00 (€ 1,581.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Geraard Sjamaar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Evening Market, which sold at auction in September 2007 for EUR 4,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior With Mother And Daughter Infront Of A Hearth von Pieter Geraard Sjamaar zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 3.290,00 (€ 1.581,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Geraard Sjamaar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Evening Market beobachtet, die im September 2007 für EUR 4.750,00 versteigert wurde.
