Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Evening at the inn by Pieter Geraard Sjamaar. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,824.00. Other works by Pieter Geraard Sjamaar have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 4,750.00 in September 2007 for the work The Evening Market.
