Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master Pictures, which included the work Tulips, roses, morning glory, campanulas and other flowers in a glass vase with primulas on a marble ledge, a wooded landscape beyond by Pieter Faes. The price achieved of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,292.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Faes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life of roses, peonies, tulips, narcissus, and other flowers in a terracotta vase, with grapes and a peach, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 163,800.00 (€ 152,641.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tulips, roses, morning glory, campanulas and other flowers in a glass vase with primulas on a marble ledge, a wooded landscape beyond von Pieter Faes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.292,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Faes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life of roses, peonies, tulips, narcissus, and other flowers in a terracotta vase, with grapes and a peach beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 163.800,00 (€ 152.641,88) versteigert wurde.
