Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,422.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Faes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life of roses, peonies, tulips, narcissus, and other flowers in a terracotta vase, with grapes and a peach in May last year with an auction result of USD 163,800.00 (€ 152,641.88).
