This artwork by Pieter Faes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2008. In the Old Master Pictures auction, the work Roses, tulips, violets and other flowers in an urn on a stone ledge with a bird's nest sold for EUR 21,850.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter Faes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life of roses, peonies, tulips, narcissus, and other flowers in a terracotta vase, with grapes and a peach in May last year with an auction result of USD 163,800.00 (€ 152,641.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter Faes erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Pictures wurde die Arbeit Roses, tulips, violets and other flowers in an urn on a stone ledge with a bird's nest für EUR 21.850,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Faes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life of roses, peonies, tulips, narcissus, and other flowers in a terracotta vase, with grapes and a peach im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 163.800,00 (€ 152.641,88).
