Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pieter de Neyn could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters & British Paintings auction, the work A river landscape with an angler on a shore, rowing boats, two men observing from a bridge, a man on horseback and a village beyond changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,432.47) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Neyn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A dune landscape with two riders and other travelers on a country road in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,757.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter de Neyn konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings wechselte die Arbeit A river landscape with an angler on a shore, rowing boats, two men observing from a bridge, a man on horseback and a village beyond für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.432,47) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00.
