Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A dune landscape with farmers unloading a hay wagon near a farm house, a horseman on a sandy path to the left by Pieter de Neyn. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter de Neyn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A dune landscape with two riders and other travelers on a country road in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,757.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A dune landscape with farmers unloading a hay wagon near a farm house, a horseman on a sandy path to the left von Pieter de Neyn zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter de Neyn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A dune landscape with two riders and other travelers on a country road im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.757,71).
