Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the Spaarn Nr Haarlem by Pieter Christian Dommersen was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,876.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pieter Christian Dommersen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Street scenes: Dome of Utrecht, Holland; and Purmerend, north Holland in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,905.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On the Spaarn Nr Haarlem von Pieter Christian Dommersen kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.876,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pieter Christian Dommersen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Street scenes: Dome of Utrecht, Holland; and Purmerend, north Holland im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.905,15).
