Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Sorting The Catch by Pieter Christian Dommersen for GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,386.12). This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Christian Dommersen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Street scenes: Dome of Utrecht, Holland; and Purmerend, north Holland in October 2001 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,905.15).

Im Januar 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sorting The Catch von Pieter Christian Dommersen für GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.386,12) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Christian Dommersen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Street scenes: Dome of Utrecht, Holland; and Purmerend, north Holland im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.905,15).
