Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kop Met Groene Slendang by Piet Ouborg was sold in the Nineteen to Now auction at Christies in Amsterdam in March 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,625.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piet Ouborg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 69,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kop Met Groene Slendang von Piet Ouborg wurde im März 2013 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.625,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piet Ouborg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 69.850,00.
