Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, which included the work Bamboebosje by Piet Ouborg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piet Ouborg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 69,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bamboebosje von Piet Ouborg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piet Ouborg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 69.850,00.
