This artwork by Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2008. In the 19th CenturyEuropean Art auction, the work The Waterslootse poort with the Oude Kerk beyond, Delft sold for EUR 27,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View of Jerusalem, seen from the East, with the Temple Mount and the Lion's Gate in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 432,000.00 (€ 316,251.83).

In der Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art wurde die Arbeit The Waterslootse poort with the Oude Kerk beyond, Delft für EUR 27.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View of Jerusalem, seen from the East, with the Temple Mount and the Lion's Gate im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 432.000,00 (€ 316.251,83).
