Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work In the studio of the sculptor Sir Joseph-Edgar Boehm, Paris by Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A View of Jerusalem, seen from the East, with the Temple Mount and the Lion's Gate in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 432,000.00 (€ 316,251.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the studio of the sculptor Sir Joseph-Edgar Boehm, Paris von Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A View of Jerusalem, seen from the East, with the Temple Mount and the Lion's Gate im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 432.000,00 (€ 316.251,83).
