Admittedly, works by Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A View of Jerusalem, seen from the East, with the Temple Mount and the Lion's Gate in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 432,000.00 (€ 316,251.83).

Die Arbeit Port of The Levant von Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven kam im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.126,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 47%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Henri Tetar van Elven auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A View of Jerusalem, seen from the East, with the Temple Mount and the Lion's Gate im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 432.000,00 (€ 316.251,83).
