In the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Seated Nude Figure; Reclining Semi-Draped Figure: Two Drawings changed hands for USD 1,125.00 (€ 860.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Puvis de Chavannes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sketch For Summer : The Bath in June 2018 with an auction result of EUR 212,500.00.
