In April 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings and British Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman by Pierre Louis Bouvier. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,192.53), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Louis Bouvier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Half Length, Holding An Artist'S Portfolio, Seated At A Table With A Chest Of Drawing Paraphernalia in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,929.47).

Im April 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings and British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman von Pierre Louis Bouvier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.192,53) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Louis Bouvier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Half Length, Holding An Artist'S Portfolio, Seated At A Table With A Chest Of Drawing Paraphernalia im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.929,47).
