Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Grece by Pierre Lesieur for USD 540.00 (€ 444.15). This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Lesieur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Living Room Interior in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,241.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Grece von Pierre Lesieur für USD 540,00 (€ 444,15) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Lesieur erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Living Room Interior im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.241,01).
